How do we work?
Breakfast with BNI - the World's number one business referral organisation.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so we eat while we work, and get a good start to the day, along with a good start to valuable business - how good is that?
Members and visitors arrive arround 06:45 for an early networking opportunity and a coffee.
Prompt start
The meeting begins at 07:00 prompt with a welcome from the Chapter Director and an introduction to the leadership team, and a summary of the purpose of BNI - useful for visitors. Then it's straight into the Networking Education slot (no time wasted - breakfast is already being served to your order) and announcement of the Network Leaders for the month.
Business Cards
We all carry each others business cards to pass on when making referrals, so next the Business Card box is passed around so that we can refill our card files. Visitors can also pass there cards around.
60 Seconds
New members are welcomed to the organisation following which each member gives a 60 second presentation of his business. Visitors are welcomed and introduced and then have a chance to speak for 60 seconds about their businesss.
10 minutes
Time for a breather as various committe reports are presented followed a 10 minute presentation from the member chosen to be the speaker that week. This is a major opportunity for each member to expand on their business details, help the other members understand what they offer and what kind of referrals they are looking for.
Referrals
This is the highlight of the meeting and is the opportunity to pass referrals to other members and to say what is being done to find and follow up referrals.
And so to work
The meeting draws to a close with the Secretery's report and annoucements of workshops, committee meetings, and so on, and Door Prize Draw for members bringing referrals or visitors. The meeting finishes prompt at 08:30.
